Cash on cash returns

This is another simple formula that is used to calculate your return on your investment. This formula calculates the amount of return that you get on your cash investment in a property. Typically this is your down payment amount.

Cash down payment (plus any other cash you have put in)

Your net income on the property after all expenses including mortgage and tax payments

= your cash on cash return.
